Safe, Effective Workouts!

Working out during pregnancy can help in 3 ways:

1. Better quality of pregnancy
2. Easier delivery
3. Quicker bounce back after birth.

The Safety of the baby is the main concern followed by the safety of mommy!

The Goal is to provide an interesting, safe, effective workout but also to educate.

(Example: Splinting, How best to get up and down, etc.)

ABOUT THE WORKOUTS

  • Workouts are performed with an exercise ball, a band, and light weights.
  • Workouts are 15 minutes with a warm up and cool-down.
  • Workouts are set up to specifically address each month of pregnancy.
  • Workouts are full body but focus on areas specifically affected by pregnancy.
  • Workouts are good for all levels - options are offered to make harder or easier.


Workouts adjust to your body in two ways:

1. In terms of safety
(example: No lying during 2nd trimester)

2. Two things that are happening to your body
(example: As center of gravity shifts forward we work to strengthen areas like upper back)

"I became frustrated during my first pregnancy with complicated workout dvds like 'prenatal salsa', and bored with 'prenatal yoga' so my exercise routine dwindled and I wasn't able to gain momentum with a newborn and then going back to work. Now pregnant with my second child I was determined to make a change- this workout is a great burn and never uncomfortable or awkward.
