I need a weight loss challenge!! I generally eat pretty well (however portion control is what I need to work on) and I work out 3 times per week. I need to drop 10 pounds and cannot get motivated!! Any challenges about to begin soon?

Looking forward to this challenge starting 5/17/10.

I want to take control of my anxiety, my stress which takes a big toll on my health.

Did great on the drive thru challenge, only drove through for coffee, I saw someone else blog about that.....it totally doesn't count! I'm not big on fast food but sometimes it is a convenient choice but not a healthy one. I will try and keep that in mind next time I want to drive thru somewhere!

So I drove through McDonald's this morning but only got coffee does that count????

I have not driven through anywhere this week at all and I actually have no desire to, I did some grocery shopping and have been making my meals and packing my lunch.

Glad the sugar challenge is over, it was hard! You never really realize how much sugar is in everything you eat and not just the obvious-cookies, soda, candy, etc! Can't wait until the May 17th challenge, it should be just that-A CHALLENGE!

ugh having a hard time with the no sugary foods today, soda isn't an issue, I drink a lot of water regularly but those oreos were calling to me today!

I am doing well on the no sugar challenge this week! No flour was waaaay harder for me! I hate to admit it but I am a bit of a carb freak, sugar not so much!

Havent been weighed this week bceuase I am due on and I always eat far too much and do not have any energy to work out. This is a big problem for me because it means my weight keeps going up and down. In the weeks after my period I do really well and lose weight but then end up putting it back on and this goes round and round. Anyone else have this problem?

Got weighed this morning and Ive lost 2 pounds which Im happy about. Ive looked over on my food journal and seen areas which I can improve on so going to try and do that over the comming week. Im following the toneitup plan and did a full body toning workout out this morning.

I was babysitting last night and normally that means eating junk in front of the tv. It is usually my downfall but last night I didnt do too bad. Took some melon with me to have and I also had a bag of Weight Watchers cheese puffs and 3 biscuits. Wasnt tempted my the white bread thankfully!

Oveer the last week Ive been making my journal and planning my meals. I think I do need to plan a bit better but Im finding the journal does help because I can look back on it and see areas which I acn improve on and also areas where I did especially well, which gives me motivation.

I've been really struggling with my weight for the last year - I have gotten so frustrated at times I've wanted to give up the battle. But... I haven't thrown in the towel yet. I've started doing two simple things that are really helping. The HL inspired me to start a food journal where I have to write everything down - even when I make bad choices. I am forced to see it on paper and somehow it makes me more accountable - when I think I've done well on any given day I can look back and see where my pitfalls were. Also, (this one seems ridiculous) but I've put a child safety device on our food cupboard in the kitchen. I am notorious snacker so when I go to get a snack, it takes me a few seconds to open this stupid lock and it gives me time to think - "am I hungry" or "am I eating because I'm bored, stressed, angry etc". I know, I know it seems ridiculous but it works - try it. I am the biggest skeptic when it comes to this stuff but I am starting to see that simple stuff works.

I find that when I get to 9 stone 6 (132 pounds) I put the weight back on by comfort eating and Im not sure why I do it. I even started to try and make myself sick and miss meals but this just had reverse effect because I was so hungry and ate lots to make up for it! Im around 137 pounds now. My waist is about 27" and my hips 38". These are some goals I am setting to try and get back on track to first of all lose the weight which I have put back on:

Follow The Tone it Up diet and exercise plan as close as I can

Lose between 1-2 pounds per week

Drink more water

Swap "comfort "food" for more healthy options

Do 20 minutes per week on cross trainer (Ive chose this because it is the equipment that I find the hardest)

Do Tone it Up Ab workout 4x per week

I've been interested in living a healthy lifestyle, getting in better shape and, yes, losing weight, for quite a while, but only recently discovered the honeyline. I need some place to just ramble, find encouragement, and encourage others as well. I love my fiance dearly, but he has the metabolism of the cross country runner that he is, and he doesn't really understand like others here will.

Most of my blog will probably deal with weight loss, since that is my primary goal right now. The wedding is 5 months away, and I really just can't seem to find the right combination of working out and eating that sparks weight loss. I lost over 20lbs a couple years ago, and last year it just piled back on. My food habits didn't change, and neither did my exercising, but stress found me in a huge, huge way. My best friend's wedding, and losing and finding jobs wreaked havoc on my life, and body.

Now, I'm back on track with my best friend, and my new job is fantastic, but the weight just isn't budging. I've seen a nutritionist, and I'm at the gym at least 3-4 days a week for at least 1.5 hours each time. I'm working on trying new machines (upright bike) and new workouts (different running workouts on the treadmill) and just challenging myself.

I did the p90x workout last year, and while I adored the muscle results it gave me, I ended up with tendonitis in my right tricep. Ouch. I wasn't willing to give up my love of kayaking, so I had to stop the program, but I'm working my way back into lifting again, after taking a solid 6 months off. I missed it!

So, there's my intro. I'm hoping this will keep me accountable in a way that nothing else seems to. I'm currently digging through my old magazines for new workouts and inspirations. I welcome any advice (or encouragement) from those on the same path, or who have already taken this long road.

If you're cooking deny yourself too many tastings...you already know it tastes good! :) Also try drinking hot green tea with a little creamer and light sweetener...it totally helps zap the appetite.

Ugh, not a great end to my day. I caved and had a piece of my moms homemade (even the crust!) apple pie, it was so good. Then tonight I also had some popcorn while I was watching Hell's Kitchen. I need to find something to do at night besides eat... I find that I chew on straws a lot, so that must mean I just need to find something else to keep myself occupied so I don't want to just shovel food in my mouth~~

I recently tried the protein pancakes from the ToneItUp site. They were great- very filling! Made one for my husband and he liked it (except he added almond butter on top! Brat- he gets to eat more cals than me!). I forgot to put the mashed banana in it, so I expect the next round to be even yummier!!!
