I had a great conversation with Gabby today!!!!!!! She is so down to Earth, so easy to talk to...I just hope I didn't sound like a blubbering dolt.
She had some great thoughts on how we as women can keep health and fitness a priority even amidst a busy family and work life. Viewing exercise as a necessity, not a luxury, is something we all can internalize and incorporate into our lives.
Gabby also gave me some tips on circuit workouts and some volleyball specific exercises (for my hubby- I don't play well! :) I look forward to trying out some of the circuit exercises she spoke of.
On another note, my hubby and I adopted a dog today! He is a little Chihuahua/ Terrier mix. We met him at the HB Half Marathon last weekend. I just happened to be walking to the car and the dog was being walked by a volunteer...he said that the dog was up for adoption. That was it for me. I am one of those people who feels people, situations, difficulties, even animals, come into our lives for a reason. Ya know, fate. Today we brought him home and so far, so good! The cats are curious and the dog (we haven't settled on a name yet- he came with the name Honda!) seems curious but not aggressive. :) Yay!!!!
I took today off from working out, but tomorrow I think I will tackle a run in the AM and then maybe a circuit in the early afternoon depending on school.
I hope that everyone has a great week!
Thanks again Gabby and the Honeyline.com!!!!!!
