I was watching tv today RR show, then I watched Gabby's interview with Sheryl Crow, I love her music and I love Gabby, so I thought I would give this a try. I am 42 weeks pregnant...yes 42! the baby is kind of delaying, I wonder whether its because of change of weather and everything, initially am from africa and now based in sweden for the last 8 months. The doctors have told me to check in for inducement on 19th if I don't give birth anytime from today...which am not seeing, so all you honies, pray for me.

I am here to make friends, I will appreciate any advise, friends in europe and abroad.

See you all.

Winnie

I haven't been on here in a while..............

................ after FINALLY breaking through a self-imposed wall of not being able to/not allowing myself to get lower than 188...........I find out I'm PREGNANT just days after weighing in at 187. YIKES! Totally unexpected and at first was really stressing me out and overwhelming me. After the initial shock and worries over how this will affect my family (financially, emotionally, etc) I couldn't help but consider my fitness/health goals. I gained 60 lbs with my first daughter and 50 with my second. I am determined to be healthier and gain less this time around...........but since I've had a miscarriage I become very nervous when pregnant. I worry about every choice I make. I've been stressed/worried on top of being sick and exhausted!! So I haven't exercised in a month.

I had my first appt at 9 weeks and saw the baby and its' heartbeat. Such a feeling of relief!!! And the reality set it and I finally allowed myself to feel the full joy of this blessing. I am still sick and exhausted, but DETERMINED to have a fit and healthy pregnancy. I got Gabby's Fit Pregnancy DVD and am starting a food journal.

Please keep me and my family in your thoughts and prayers. It's all about having a healthy baby :)

Can anyone recommend a site/store to purchase maternity fitness tops? I had a Liz Lange Nike top that I loved but wore out with my 3rd pregnancy. Now I'm preg with my 4th and can't bear to wear my husband's cotton T-shirts for 5 months. Thanks! Tina

So I stopped taking the pill about 4 months ago and my periods still aren't regular. Is that normal? I really want to start getting them regularly so my husband and I can start trying to get pregnant? I'm just wondering if this is common? Does anybody have any insight?

Looking back on my pregnancy I learned the following: Being nervous, scared, and excited at the same time is normal / Eating healthy foods will pay off in the long run / Exercising is very beneficial for the birth process, your health, and your recovery after birth / Don't compare yourself to other pregnant friends, everyone looks different (has different reactions) / When you feel like you are going to snap try taking deep breaths and tell yourself your hormones are in overdrive - calm down! / Enjoy every minute even the uncomfortable ones because you do forget all about it once your baby arrives!

I am about 6 months pregnant and I’m trying really hard to control my cravings. It’s tough though, and I struggle with it daily. I try not to give in to my cravings all the time, but sometimes it’s really hard and in the end, I end up eating more of the other stuff then what I would have eaten had I just given in to my craving in the first place. Is it bad to try to ignore what I’m craving during pregnancy? Will it effect my baby? I try to come up with some healthier alternatives to the foods I am craving, since I usually crave things like donuts, and ice cream, and I know that’s not the healthiest of choices I could be making. So instead, I try to find fat-free ice cream, or some kind of cinnamon cookie instead of a donut, but I end up eating such a large quantity of it! Do cravings go away or do they last throughout an entire pregnancy?
