I am going in the wrong direction with skin care. I get up in the morning and splash my face with water, dry it with a cotton towel, put on shea butter moisturizer, then make-up if I am going to work. Then after work and working out I was my face with the body soap in the dispenser at the gym! I know, I can't believe that I even admitted this. Then nothing until the next morning and start over with the splash of water. On weekends, I am doing the same thing except if I am going out in the sun I will put on 70spf.

I am almost 38 years old and I look every bit of my age in my face. This is not a result of my skin care regime but a direct result of not wearing sunscreen and being in the sun, it has its price. Now I am attempting to reverse some of the damage done. I purchased a Clairisonic brush a year ago and wash my face with a green tea soap by Giovanni. I use a mask called a Fruit Fiesta Peel by MyChelle once a week and a moisture mask by Zia following the exfoliation. My moisturizer daily is Vitamin E oil and a tinted foundation by SMASHBOX with an spf 15.

I know they are really 80s, but the 80's are back! I love these Nike wristbands available at See Jane Run. They are great for wiping off sweat from the eyes, forehead, and face without breaking your stride or ruining your momentum.

Title Nine's Panties in a bunch are the most amazing panties for working out. They don't bunch at all and they are so comfortable. You don't have to worry about what you look like from behind at the gym.

So Konacath sends me this great message regarding one of my blogs. She tells me that we have all had the same struggles with losing weight and failing and making small changes will help. I know she meant diet and excercise but it spoke to me beyond that. I started to think about my life and what I want from it.

I have been in the fashion and beauty indutry for a long time. I always wanted to write but after I graduated from The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, it seemed the most available jobs were in retail management and corporate. I worked in merchandising for a long time and worked on my passion on the side. I interned and worked as a fashion stylist, model booker, editorial intern for a shopping site, so many things but none ignited my writing career. Every opportunity required me to move out of state and I gave up. I settled into event planning and corporate escalations.

After reading Konacath's email, I realized that I need to keep trying. All of that was many years ago. I am older, wiser, better educated, and have more experience. The web has opened more opportunities and I probably will no longer have to move to pursue fashion writing.

I have written my very first two articles this week. I am so excited! I would love your feedback! If I get a good response in views and subscriptions (its free), I am going to pursue my writing full time! Thanks everyone here at honeyline for their support. I cannot tell you how great it has been having everyone be so supportive when the scale won't move. Special thanks to Konacath!

I found this great mascara, by Loreal and I realized that I don’t need my eyelash curler anymore. The truth is if you can find a great mascara that gives your lashes some volume, you don’t need that stupid thing anymore that constantly pinches your skin, and freaks out your children every time they see you using it. It’s a really great mascara, and I totally recommend it. I think it’s called Luminous or something.
