Exercise: did an awesome T360, finally caught up to today's date. I did three sets of each exercise with a pretty high intensity. My clothes were drenched and at one point I got dizzy, which means I was kicking butt for my level. I kinda slowed down for the last two exercises, and was just laying there staring at a spider on the cieling and feeling pretty good. Oh yah!

Food: Dinner was steamed carrots, sauted savoy cabbage, steamed broccoli with ginger, & tempeh. I put a hugh pile of savoy cabbage a few slices of carrots and a few broccoli spears in my dish, and topped it with tempeh that was sauted in a little coconut oil, and then topped it all with a low fat asian dressing from the Tone It Up materials.

Smoothie: for lunch I had a small smoothie made with Jay Robb protein powder, rice milk (I was out of almond milk) raw cacoa nibs (finally a way to use cacoa nibs! -the blender does wonders to them!), brewer's yeast, maca powder, Caties Greens, raw cacoa powder, flax seeds. I kept it as small as possible (8oz) and it keep me going all afternoon, but I had some protein powder in almond milk at 3:00 so I wouldn't tire out during my workout. (but I guess I sorta tired out anyways)..

Breakfast was meal one and two combined, of 0% greek yogurt, protien powder, raw oats, and coconut oil chopped in with a fork (it gives it an unusual texture. I didn't eat it until 11:30 and I was a bear during an errand, crying and heart pounding...geez, why do we have to eat so much and on schedule...

Drank a lot of water. Still didn't go grocery shopping, luckily I had veges in the fridge. Took the dog for a walk, worked full-time and did errands in town and tasks on the phone. geez, "press one for planet earth....."

Watched "Fit to Hit" a cool show on the tennis channel. Will watch a net-flix tonight then finish reading a book about Zookeepers who hid people in Poland during WWII, and then start a book about perilous sailing experiences.

Oh well, can't think, husband playing the blues on electric guitar in my ear.

*Just notes to myself, I hope you enjoy it a tiny bit......;)

Literally woke up to billowing smoke last night at 12:30. I am thanking god I woke up or I wouldn't be hear. I left some sippy cups on the stove last night and rather than watch tv while they came to a low boil and were sanitized I decided to go to bed because I was so exhausted. I completely forgot about them and locked up the house and headed up to my husband who is nursing a hurt back and sleeping daughter. I have been a little more than normal busy and take on too much for one person. This really came apparent last night when I was talking to the police. I still get tears thinking about it and can still smell the stinch. So today I am trying to relax, appreciate my husband and daughter more than usual and enjoy the sunshine and fresh air around me. It's summer they say I think I'd better notice it before it passes. Why do i put everyone else before me? It's a problem I know and last night could have been well it just was bad. So if this helps anyone slow down and be aware at all times then that will help me feel a little better about this.

Food: Need to go grocery shopping and get back on track. When I get tired of chicken everything goes haywire. It would be much easier if I ate eggs, meat, various fishes, etc., but I don't really. When I eat chicken, if it is not from Whole Foods then I feel creepy about it. Even if it is from Whole Foods and has bones in it or is not cooked exactly right I feel creepy about it. Thank goodness for Jay Robb protein powder with stevia. This is a near perfect food for me. I don't even consider it a supplement, but actually food. I put off Whey protien powder for a long time, because hey, diary is diary, but....I must admit it is wonderful for the waistline, temperment, energy, etc.

Caties Greens and Vit C Plus: Caties Vit C Plus is an understatement, this stuff is PLUS PLUS PLUS. Yeah, go ahead and eat 1/2 cup of berries and then take your scoop of Caties C. WHOO HOO!!! I could bathe in this stuff, and if I were Cleopatra I think I would.

Go ahead and eat as much spinach and lettuce as you can, and then take a scoop of Caties Greens, WHOO HOO! This is like LIFE, LIVE, WHOO HOO TOO! I am thinking about doing a facial with it instead of my french green clay. I'll test it on my hand first and see what happens.

Exercise: Today I have reviewed one week of T360 videos. If you have not viewed or reviewed them it makes a huge difference. I can go and do my workout with more confidence and correct form.

Water: need to get it going, slacking...70 ounces or bust!!

Mental: been super stressed, need to focus on the tasks at hand, need to re-incorporate mantra, need to light a candle and some incense, need to be thankful amidst all this insanity in the world.

Stretch: need to get back to the M-A-T. The mat is your friend, go and see her...she asks nothing in return just gives gives gives.

If you have babies, get down on the floor and do mat work. If you have toddlers, get on all fours and do mat work, if you have children get on the mat while they are coloring, if you have teens, well, get on the mat after you figure out what they are doing....(or not doing)...anyway or how get on the M-A-T...and s- t -r -e -t -c -h.....no excuses..

* just notes to myself, hope you enjoy them...

I woke up this morning and thought to myself how extremely grateful I am for everything good in my life, hubby, kids, family, dogs, friends, the honeyline, the ability to run, etc. Frequently, these thoughts escape me because I'm preoccupied thinking of all the things I have to get done throughout the day. In the end, no one can slow down life, it's your own attitude that you can turn positive regardless of the situation. I once read on the back of a chocolate wrapper (of all things), "Love many, trust few, and paddle your own canoe"...I really like this b/c it sums it all up, hold those who are dear to you closely, and be accountable for your actions. Have a wonderful day everyone!

Food: Made a smoothie for dinner with raw oats, 0% greek yogurt, cacoa nibs, cacoa powder, green powder, maca, flax seeds, almond milk, brewer's yeast, and the kitchen sink. It was awesome. It was a combined meal 4 and 5. I feel full, yet light.

Exercise: reviewed Gabby's boot camp exercises again, but ended up doing T360 from July 26th. It was another "easy breezy" and I did not add alot of weights or extra reps, so feel great and much better than before I started.

Road Food: went on a trip to Big Sur and brought this stuff for the college age kids: water, muscle milk, apples, hummous, turkey sandwiches (loaded), tri-tip, tabouli, candy, protein bars, dried fruit wraps, bagels & cream cheese, almonds. They ate it ALL! Brought this for me: frozen berries in a container with protein powder and yogurt ready to mix and eat, some kind of awesome cashews in a rice syrup in a green package at the natural foods store (way too good), apple, almonds, vege sandwich and threw away the bread, threw away the cheese (so it was like avo, sprouts and tomato). Iused to like sprouts, but now I do not like sprouts at all.

Road Trip II: went to LA and almost got on the Jay Leno show audience, but did not. Road Food II: college kids; chicken salad sandwiches on sprouted wheat, pop chips. Me: tuna salad sandwich on sprouted wheat at a cool natural foods store around the corner from the Jay Leno show. Have not eaten tuna, or sprouted wheat or veganaise for many months, so, needless to say, it was awesome.

Need to: get back into High Intensity Interval Training, that is my weakness. When I do it, I do it too hard, and I can not move the next day. If I don't do it, I feel poofy.

Need to: get off of this greek yogurt and oats thing, too many calories, I think, but so easy...

Lessons: Surrender with boxing gloves on.

wrote a long blog, but it vanished, will try to re-do;

Pantry: I have whey protein powder, green powder, flax seeds, chia seeds, brewer's yeast, pink salmon, whole oats, raw cacoa powder, unsweetened almond milk, soup broths.

Fridge: I have baked chicken breasts, steamed broccoli, savoy, green and red cabbage, lettuce, carrots. I can eat from the ingredients in the panty and fridge for days--the same stuff over and over.

Not too much: I don't eat nuts too much because it's hard to stop. If I do eat them I try to count 8 almonds, then sneak a few more and that's enough. If I am eating dark chocolate, I can not also eat "healthy fats" because that would be too much fat per day. I am not eating too much fruit, because it has too much sugar. If you are very lean and super active then go for it. I find that if I eat dark chocolate, (which I can not give up) then I can not also eat fruits or other sugars too much. I ate a half of a good apple the other day, and it was divine. I am treating fruit with luv and respect as a treasured treat not a take it for granted sugar buzz.

New: I have tried whole fresh coconuts and luv the water, but have had no good luck with the coconut meat. I don't like to risk life and limb by opening them with hammers, screwdrivers, etc. There has to be a better way. Can someone create a coconut powder that has all the benefits? I have tried Maca Magic powder but don't know if I feel anything. I did get seriously out of whack emotionally the first few days but don't know if it was the moon or the maca. Just Good Energy is the cutting edge site for nutritional information. Tone It Up site has a wonderful eating plan, you will never be hungry and your moods and blood sugars will be awesome. It is similar to The Zone. If you veer from the plan you need to count that food as part of a meal. I am working on counting tortilla chips and dark chocolate somehow...

Exercise: did an awesome T360 last night and a foam roller session. I was so messed up before the workout and felt perfect afterwards. It was the July 25th one, I think. I would say it was an "easy breezy" as Gabby would say, but just what the doctor ordered for my sore body.

Gabby: I feel terrible that I have not kept up on the 4 week summer boot camp. I can't wait to have the peace, time, drive, and persistence to read up on it all and DO IT! It is amazing that Gabby and the crew have put together such an awesome, inspiring pack of information. I am so thankful and impressed, but a little sad that my life this past month has been such that I was not able to follow it on schedule. But, I am going to go back and catch up soon.

Hive: Since things have changed with FB addition and Gabby's new page addition and the old Buzz/Honeyline, it is hard to know who is who and what is where, but I still luv it all; Honeyline, Buzz, T360, Gabby FB, Gabby's new page--it just takes a little more time and a bit of adjusting. Just keep pushing the buttons and you will get there. If you have not found the Boot Camp Summer Challenge please look for it today, (it is on Gabby's new page) also some awesome exercise videos. ....to be continued....;)

Health: Listen to your body. My body is aching right now. I think I may have done too many rambo squats. I have never felt the sides of my torso ache, it is amazing. My lower back hurts, I am walking like I need a cane. I think I hiked too hard and tried too hard to swim against a river current in Big Sur. I took a day off yesterday, but today I am going to try to workout. I can't imagine taking two days off. So, I will try to listen and see if I should go for it or just stretch, etc.

Food: I have broccoli for dinner like 5 nights in a row, and lunch and in between. I don't eat the same foods as the people I am eating with eat. I just eat vegetables and protien for dinner with spices, I eat supplements for breakfast as well as 0% greek yogurt, a few oats. I am using protien powder more than normal because I don't eat egg whites, meat, or fish (more than once in a blue moon). If I eat anymore chicken I think I will grow feathers.

Beauty: Loreal Professional shampoo is rumored to be a great hair repair (you have to get it at salons), also Joico's K-pak is second best. If you can afford it I have heard that Keratin is a fun thing to do if you want straight shiny non-frizzy hair. Only a few salons do it, though, and it costs buckoos.

Exercise: I am upping the weights and lowering the reps on exercises that this can be done on. It's scary and fun. You have to concentrate and be focused and wear good shoes. No turning around to chat (I got a stiff neck doing that!)

Summer: I am smelling fruits, not eating them too much. Appreciating their beauty, color, fragrance, but nope, too much sugar...I am treating fruit like the way I used to treat Haagen Daz -- as a dessert and special treat. My fruit bowl used to always be full, and now it is bare except for a piece of fresh ginger. Keep away from sugars, salts, white flour anything, white potatoes, white rice...to be continued....

I used to think days were long but now that I have a 9-5 job and a daughter (oh ya and a husband) days seem to fly by and I never have time for myself. If I even think about painting my nails, or dying my hair something else gets my attention like laundry emptying the recycles, ordering photos, reviewing the budget. There is always something more important that just myself and I cannot seem to fight it. I rarely workout and feel like I am going crazy or growing old fast! I love being a Mom so I know it comes with the territory but does anyone else feel like they just do do do go go go?

Hey ladies! It has been a really hard time lately, life, love and all that stuff.

Getting back to basics has kinda been my theme...I have had to reevaluate my actions and how they are working (or not working) in my life. Thankfully, I have the most understanding and supportive husband ever who puts up with me.

Starting this Monday off right with a run and then a circuit workout.

Hope everyone has a great week!

I am going to be 50 this year and I make my own bodycare products. That way i know what goes in and I'm very happy with the results. Using things from plants that maintain the electrical frequencies makes sense since our skin has frequencies as well so the reception of the product is better. I am happy with the results and so are my customers! :-)
